FAQ
How do you photograph weddings?
Typically, I meet with my couples a few weeks before their event to create a timeline of their day! I will help you choose the best moments for the couple photos, locations for first looks, detail photos and backup plans for poor weather situations.
Also, it is one of my favorite things to receive photos of your dress, shoes, invites and more! On your wedding day, all I want to capture is the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm and crazy moments and all the details that make your wedding unique. This is why I prefer to photograph non-traditional and laid-back weddings.
A good timeline helps me make sure we all have a clear understanding of the schedule, so I do not miss any important moments.
I like to get to know you! The complimentary engagement session allows me to spend some time with you before the wedding to get to know you, your personalities, and what you want from your wedding photos. This will help me tailor my approach to your needs.
Weddings offer plenty of opportunities for beautiful photos, so I will be there capturing a variety of shots from different angles and perspectives. Some shots you might consider include candid moments, portraits of the couple and guests, and shots of the venue and decor.
Once your event is over, I edit your photos carefully. I save the photos and look at every single one of them during the selection process. I refuse to use culling programs, I want to get every photo I like into your gallery! And that includes the one that may have been dropped because your grandad is swinging the flower girl in a circle and her dress is blurred. To me that is still STUNNING!!! This process includes adjusting colors, cropping, and removing any unwanted elements from the photo & applying my self made presets that are one of a kind!
Then your gallery is delivered! You will get a link as well as the download pin. You can save and make lists within your gallery as well as order a number of professional products such as wall art, prints, home décor and albums.
Where are you based & do you travel?
I am currently based in Moline, Illinois. I do not charge any travel fees for weddings within 2 hours of the Quad Cities. I have my passport ready, and I LOVE to travel. Here are a few reasons why I love traveling for work!
1. To expand my portfolio: I love to gain experience by working in various locations with a variety of subjects and environments.
2. To meet new clients: Traveling to new locations helps me meet new clients and expand my vendor network.
3. To work on unique projects: I am extremely interested in working on specific types of projects that require me to travel to new locations.
4. To find inspiration: I often find inspiration in new environments, so traveling can help me generate innovative ideas and perspectives.
5. To provide a unique service: I have a specific style, So I am always willing to travel to provide my colorful & unique services to clients in various locations.
When will we get our photos?
For weddings you will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within a maximum of 6 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You will receive a link to your private online gallery and a pin number to download them. You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and order prints, wall art & albums!
For all other shoot types, you will receive your photos within a maximum of two weeks (sometimes less depending on the session type and if a rush is necessary for announcement cards or birthday invitations etc.)
How many pictures will we receive?
For every hour of coverage during a wedding or elopement, you will receive between 75 to 100 fully edited images. Typical wedding galleries are 800-1200 images. I will always choose the most beautiful and significant photos to tell your story. And to me that means every moment that I can! I do not like to hold back images so prepare yourself for a large and beautiful gallery!
For engagement sessions the same rules apply.
For family, senior, childhood milestones, pregnancy, and newborn I commit to 50 images per hour. Again, I do not like holding back good images, so I tend to deliver close to that same 75-100 per hour at those shoots as well! But you can never predict how family or children's shoots will go!

Letter from the photographer
Hi, I’m Lauren! I am a photographer who loves to capture moments in fun and exciting places. My passion is for travel,
I enjoy exploring new locations and finding unique things to photograph. When I’m not working, I can often be found indulging
in my love of romantic movies & trashy reality tv dating shows curled up on the couch with a bowl of ranch Doritos and my two puppies. #BachelorNation
I am a devoted dog lover, and I spend a lot of time with Daisy May & Charlie, taking them for walks, playing fetch, and snuggling with
them on the sofa. My husband and I love to canoe, and we enjoy going on family road trips,
watching the Office & Parks & Rec as well as grilling out in our backyard.
When it comes to food, I have a particular weakness for the McRib sandwich, and I’ll go out of my way to get my hands on one
when it’s in season. I also a big fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and love re-reading the books or re-watching the movies.
I listen to the soundtrack to work to, try it its very relaxing!!!!
I have been a photographer since 2011 when my husband bought my first camera as a Valentines Day gift. It was a bright green camera, and everyone called me the green camera girl. It warmed my heart. My first job in photography was working at an old time photography studio in Branson MO. And while that was quite an adventure, I have known since I was 11 years when the movie The Wedding Planner came out that I was going to work in the wedding industry!
I began shooting weddings with my sister at my side for every amazing moment. We experienced weddings before the explosion
of Pinterest. And boy how times have changed!
My style has evolved over the years quite a bit. And I hope to continue to grow and create.
I want to work with people who are passionate, excited about life and want to adventure through their shoot along with me.
Please reach out to me with any questions. I would love to get to work with you!!
-xoxo Lauren
